Bring it

Unmitigated wastes of bandwidth are enjoyable to me. Or at least it would seem so since I've been through two in the preceeding months and may very well bring on another with this post, ah well. My office mate Chad sent me this movie (originally from http://www.holmok.com/ though good luck finding a link) which is far too good not to share. It's an apple switch campaing spoof - and there have a been a lot of them - but the only one that made me actually laugh out loud.

Anyway, since it's mac related the file is naturally windows media because it's smaller and I'm too lazy to convert it to a collosal mpeg file, but i know all of my friends can play it and that's all that really matters . Anyway, starts a little slow but the rage builds :)

mac "Crash Different" 3.5 megs (wmv)
Hope you all enjoy it.

addendum
Since visual studio.NET 2003 is taking an eon to install, and since I half heartedly put some effort into a "comment on this" sort of feature a few months ago, maybe I'll try and roll it out while I watch this progress meter slowly fill.

I spent some time on messenger the other day with Pat trying to organize a few things for my brief stint over in Korea. He figured that since he'd be working pretty solid for monday and tuesday while I was there it would be a good time to take a train and see Seoul for a day. I found the korean rail system website and was looking around at their schedule when I noticed the legend at the top of the timetables.

image had to be linked since it was screwing up the table

I like the second to the last icon - not exactly the height of political correctness is it :)

in WOPR related news, I now have a 300 pound block of plaster of paris, clay and wood blocking in my garage that's halfway to being cut in half. Soon.

There are few instances where I could really use the camera phone I had for the briefest of times (or any old camera I suppose), but this morning was one of them. Words will have to suffice, but a picture would be nice. Anyway.

The height of cool:

Motorcyclist riding a flame red Katana 600.

Jet black helmet with red and yellow flame job on the side.

Black and red full body set of riding leathers.

Pink "Hello Kitty" backpack.

The guy I share an office with (chad) and I occasionally swap "war stories" about various places we've worked and projects we've had. A while ago I mentioned probably the most inane request I'd ever gotten - one where the lady wanted my web page to change the paper in her printer for her - well I think Chad has succesfully topped that. His conversation:

Chad: So what would you like you're report page to return?

People: We're not really sure.

Chad: What do you mean "you're not really sure?"

People: We haven't really figured out what we want to see, and it may change. can you have the page just guess what we want to see?

Chad: *stunned silence*.

I offered the helpful suggestion that he just install the magic telepathy module in their webservers and everything would work fine. He didn't seem to think that would work :) Can you guess... man that's sweet.

In other news, Tilegate has crossed the line from commic bufoonery into outright incompetance.
