Pain by design

The fire alarms kept going off today in my office and I swear whoever chose the shrill whine probably did it less to alert people to a potential fire and more to make them flee the building just to get away from the sound. Had he had his way I imagine the fire system would have had cattle prods pop out of the wall and herd us all out that way.

But anyway.
